Jackson Middle School wrestling, weight room open


Officials Wednesday authoritatively opened the new wrestling and weight room at Jackson Middle School. 

Adam Jones, counteractive action asset officer and football mentor at Jackson Middle School, led the push to fabricate the new weight room and wrestling office beside the school's football field and grandstands. 

The office was made conceivable through a $25,000 stipend from the city of Vienna, a $5,000 private gift and a large number of dollars in gave work and materials from almost twelve region organizations. 

"This is a $80,000 building, and we did it for about $26,000," Jones said. "Without people group bolster, this wouldn't have been conceivable." 

Some work still remains, Jones said. Authorities would like to have the building's warming and aerating and cooling framework introduced inside the following couple of weeks, and afterward will complete the office's lavatory. 

"We're around 95 percent done, and the weight room is as of now being utilized," Jones said. 

Leader Randy Rapp, alongside Buddy James, who honed two state champion football groups at Parkersburg High School, cut the lace at the service Wednesday. 

"We're exceptionally strong of anything that needs to do with our youngsters," Rapp said. "At whatever time we can band together with the group, it's a win-win for the city and the understudies." 

Chief Richard Summers said he is glad to have such a first rate office at Jackson. 

"I've been to numerous secondary schools and little universities and numerous don't have anything this pleasant," he said.
