Thibaut Courtois needs to come back to La Liga one day and means to settle on a choice on his Chelsea future when he enters the last year of his agreement in the late spring of 2018.
The Belgium global burned through three seasons on credit at Atletico Madrid before he supplanted Petr Cech as Chelsea's No 1.
He won a La Liga title in Spain and helped Atletico to the 2013/14 Champions League last, and conceded he holds a solid association with the club.
"I feel half Spanish," Courtois told Spanish daily paper Marca. "When I said farewell I had a terrible time. It was difficult and I cried.
"Atletico is a family club. Despite everything I feel their affection."
What's more, when inquired as to whether he wants to come back to the nation one day, Courtois included: "Yes, yet in view of the club, as well as how Madrid is and the entire nation.
"As soon as I began to look all starry eyed at Spain for its kin, way of life and nourishment. Regardless I keep up having supper and after that an evening snooze, the greater part of the TV I watch is Spanish."
Courtois, who joined Chelsea from Belgian side Genk in 2011, is under contract at the Premier League club until the end of the 2018/19 battle.
"I have an agreement at Chelsea for three seasons," he proceeded. "In 2018, when I enter the last year of the agreement, we will survey whether to restore or take off."
